John candidly describes why he got into this career and shares some personal views and stories of his past. He has great story-telling ability, and I hope you're as drawn into them as I get. John explains that it's important to find the "Reset Button."

Interview with Ryan, a high stakes blackjack casino dealer. Ryan and I discuss possible mistakes to avoid while dealing and the amount of training dealers get before they can get licensed and work on the floor. Ryan has a lot of confidence in his abilities and was very forthcoming with things he has to pay attention to, and the amount of personal style dealers are permitted to have (it isn't very much).

A dear friend of mine, Dave, and I got together for a little while to have a Skype conversation on about some important work he performs in the pharmaceutical drug design industry. He answers questions with respect and really made me feel like a student by truly caring about my understanding of the subject material. True to his abilty, he uses analogies and examples to include laypeople into the conversation. I really appreciate how he makes extra effort to make this very difficult topic accessible for myself and listeners. Dave talks about preventing events and safety concerns. Locks (receptors on cells - a.k.a. targets) and keys (molecules, or compounds for testing).

Heidi Duff is someone who completely understands her "calling." Even after 26 plus years in the business, she approaches her daily work with high energy, enthusiasm, and a constant desire to be one of the best in her field. I totally respect that type of attitude, and feel even more energized with every conversation I have with her. On this podcast, we share a candid conversation about what it's like being the salon owner, and what are some common human error that needs to be avoided in this billion-dollar and VERY personal industry. We talk how important it is to the reputation of each salon and how through timely feedback, employee meetings and training, her staff not only become top-notch, but stay that way, too. I love their slogan: "Inspire. Design. Evolve."
